I'm friendly, easy-going with a good sense of humour. I'm interested in life and people and what we are, where we come from and where we're going(!). I do know a few people in Oman, but not many so I'm looking for all kinds of contacts: friendship as well as intimate encounters because I do enjoy sex, BUT MAINLY I would most like to meet someone for a committed relationship. I'm open to anything until that happens, but once it does I'm at a stage in my life where I would really love to be with a like-minded person to share a rich (in spirit) life together. I'm a fairly attractive guy, I think, and I'm certainly not ugly... sometimes I look handsome and sometimes less so, but I'm not so photogenic and do (honestly) look better in person - I have been told this many times. I'm fairly active and in reasonable shape, but I can be indolent too. I like travelling and seeing new places & people... trekking, cycling trips... but I've never been attracted to gym stuff or obsessive fitness. I cycled from north to south Japan last autumn (2011) and I started off puffing but quite quickly found my fitness... but the fitness came through the enjoyment!

Appearance is quite important to me because I feel that there has to be physical attraction, particularly at the start of a relationship, but I no longer limit myself with excessive idealism (!)
